Malaiya reviews Investors’ meet
Bhopal, Apr 02: The Minister for Industries, Commerce and Employment Jayant Malaiya reviewed the preparations for the Investors Meet to be held at Sagar, at a meeting held in the Collector office, Sagar today. Addressing the meeting the Minister said that it is for the first time that the state government has focused attention and efforts on integrated development of Bundelkhand region.
Malaiya said that the endeavour is to augment employment opportunities by boosting industrialization in Bundelkhad region leveraging the natural resources available here. The Minister said that investment possibilities have been identified in view of the resources for development of various sectors including agriculture, industry, service and infrastructure. The investors meet would help showcase the prospects of investment before the prospective investors. He said that priority is being given to improving basic amenities to facilitate maximum investment.
Malaiya said that in view of abundance availability of rock phosphate in Sagar district investment in the units based on this mineral should be encouraged. Mayor Pradeep Laria said that at present water could be supplied to industries from Rajghat project, but it could not be maintained when the requirement is increased. There is need for construction of a stop dam on Bewas River near Sitguan soon. The Collector Heeralal Trivedi informed that action has already been initiated for this.
The Managing Director of TRIFAC Praveen Garg directed the officers to prepare a list of works to be taken up on the basis of the investors meets held earlier at Indore and Jabalpur. The Commissioner, Sagar Division LS Baghel directed the officials to ensure round-the-clock power supply to industries sector. The Collector informed about the preparations being made in connection with the investors meet. He also informed about the suggestions received from industrialists in this regard.
