Making MP a leading state, a mission
Bhopal, Mar 05: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that making Madhya Pradesh a leading state of the country is his sole mission in life. CM announced government’s plans to confer land rights on slum dwellers. He said that the aim would remain unattained until the fruits of development and progress reach the last man in the last row. CM was speaking at a felicitation function organized by the district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party on his 49th birthday here on Wednesday.
A commendation letter was also presented to him on the occasion. Chouhan said that the state government is considering conferring ownership right on people where they are dwelling except public places. This would benefit lakhs of slum dwellers. The Chief Minister said that his concern is not confined to any particular class or section of society, however special efforts are being made to ensure all round development of the wage workers, farmers, women, children and other weaker sections.
He said, his birthday is the day to renew his resolve to work even harder to improve the conditions of the people and the state. Citing various episodes of his own life he said that struggle leads to success. He expressed the confidence that as Chief Minister he would be able to ensure happiness, prosperity and development of the state. He said that the Ekatm Manavtavad philosophy of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya is the main source of his inspiration.
Presiding over the function the State BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is synonymous with political struggle. He is not only a great politician and able organizer but has also proved his acumen as an administrator. State organizing general secretary of the BJP Makhan Singh said that under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan the state is going from strengths to strengths. Former Member of Parliament Kailash Sarang wished Chouhan a long and brighter future. District BJP President Alok Sanjar also spoke on the occasion.
