Private aircraft makes emergency landing

Bhopal, Jan 06: A trainee pilot of Ujjain-based Yash Air made emergency landing in a field at Astha tehsil of Sehore district on Sunday afternoon. The trainee pilot has reportedly lost direction and landed in the field. He was reported to be safe but the two-seater plane got damaged in the incident. The trainee pilot was sent for medical examination but no case was registered against him and the Civil Aviation Department has been informed of the incident.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajendra Prasad informed that the two-seater plane landed in a field at Arolia (Parolia) village in Sehore district on Sunday afternoon. Sarthak Gaur with 20 hours of flying experience was informed to be the trainee pilot flying the plane. He is informed to be student of Ujjain-based flying school, Yash Air, he added. Prasad said that the trainee pilot lost direction and landed the plane in emergency.

Sarthak was immediately rushed to the hospital for examination and was informed to be unhurt. The two-seater plane got damaged from the front. It was learnt that the cops have recorded statements of the trainee pilot and acquainted the Civil Aviation Department of the issue. A team from the Department would now probe the incident to ascertain the role of the trainee pilot in the incident. However, senior instructor of the Ujjain-based flying school Bharat Tongia remained incommunicado despite repeated attempts.
