Students to get easy question papers

Bhopal, Mar 06: The students of class V and VIII might get relatively easy question papers in the annual exams this year. It is likely that system of separate question paper and answer sheets might be abolished. The papers would include lesser number of long answer questions to ease out students from exam pressure. The District Institute of Education Training has been assigned with the responsibility of preparing model question papers for both the classes. The Schools would conduct the exams process at their local level from this year onwards.

According to the sources, the question papers and answer sheets would be combined in the same sheet for class V and class VIII. The late Education Minister Laxman Singh Gaud abolished the board status for the both the classes. The decision was aimed for preventing dropouts and ease out little kids from the board exam pressure. All the papers apart from the language papers have been completed till March 1.

The earlier deadline for submitting the same was February 29. Sources claim that papers would have lots of question having multiple choices and tick mark answers. DIET was assigned with the responsibility of preparing the model papers. The DIET members are also making efforts for persuading the children for regularly attending the school, whose absenteeism is high. The decision is aimed to prevent students’ dropouts due after both the classes. DIET is also preparing the Question Bank for the schools.

The members are visiting the kids’ home twice in the day for convincing parents to regularly, apart from their routine work. This task was till now has been undertaken by the schoolteachers. Earlier the education department directed to conduct training workshops for informing about the examination process but due to the shortage of time, only the workshop of DIET Principals was organized. The process of preparing question papers would be completed till next week. Both the exams for all the schools would be done at the local level not at the district level as was done till the last year. The exam process for private schools would be conducted under the supervision of district education officers.
