Open invitation for development of Valley

Bhopal, Jan 07: An open invitation for competent construction agencies from all over the Country was given by Additional Chief Secretary and Vice Chairman NVDA Pradeep Bhargava here to play role in the Development of Narmada Valley (NVDA). He was addressing a summit of construction agencies from various states organised jointly by Construction Industry Development Council, New Delhi and NVDA here at Narmada Bhawan.

Interacting with the representatives of the construction agencies Bhargava said that Madhya Pradesh has an ambitious plan to built 29 major, 135 medium and 300 small dams to utilize 18.25 MAF water allocated by Narmada Water Dispute Tribunal.  The completion of the task would result in to the creation of 27.6 lakh hectare additional irrigation potential. Money was no restrain for construction but competent agencies are required for timely & quality performance. He said that paper procedures are being simplified and other measures had been taken to felicitate the construction agencies. Bhargava said that skilled and unskilled man power is available in the State and NVDA is always open to incorporate suggestion from construction agencies. All elements of pro construction atmosphere may give the platform to give best performance and best profit.

The various representatives freely interacted with Vice Chairman and put their suggestions. The Member (Engineering) VK Bhatia gave detailed presentation on the proposed Major Projects in the Valley. The Director General CIDC PR Swaroop informed that 35000 Technical pass out from new 16 ITI would be available to construction agencies. He said that MP has best construction atmosphere among many states of the country. Nearly 150 representatives of construction agencies from various states took part in the summit.
