BJP’s Halla Bol rally in Katni a success
Jabalpur, Jan 07: Bharatiya Janata Party's Halla Bol rally started under the leadership of Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh in Katni on Sunday. The on-foot rally aims to draw attention towards different demands from the Union Railway ministry of development of Mahakaushal region. Amidst huge gathering of BJP workers and supporters, Singh said that proper railway links are mandatory for development of any region.
He added that when Madhya Pradesh was formed, Jabalpur was not made its capital only because it was not prominently linked by Railways. Now, even 60 years after Independence, Jabalpur and the entire Mahakaushal region suffer the brunt of ignorance from the Union Government. Singh pointed out the Rs 110 crore Jabalpur Gondia broad gauge conversion projects that remain incomplete due to lack of funds from the Union Government. He charged the Congress of neglecting welfare of Mahakaushal region.
Singh further said that despite being an important junction and a never centre of trade and commerce, Katni has been ignored by Railways, he lamented, looks like one of the remote villages. He asserted that the public will not accept any development that does not include development of railway infrastructure and facilities in Katni, Jabalpur and the entire Mahakaushal region. Addressing the public meeting Speaker of State Legislative Assembly Ishwardas Rohani praised Rakesh Singh for taking lead to voice the demand for development of Railways in Mahakaushal region.
