81.52 lakh for tribal sub-plan

Bhopal, Apr 08: The state government has released amount to the tune of Rs 81.52 lakh as a special central grant for the year 2007-08 under Tribal sub-plan head. These funds have been allotted for primitive tribes. The government has also issued necessary instructions and directives for spending the funds to Project Administrative, Integrated Tribal Project, Baiga and Bhariya Development Authority, Mandla, Dindori, Sohagpur (Shahdol), Pushparajgarh (Anuppur), Bandhavgarh (Umaria), Baihar (Balaghat) and Tamia (Chhindwara) and District Organiser, Tribal Welfare Department, Sahariya Development Authority Gwalior, Sheopur, Shivpuri and Guna.

Out of the above funds, an amount to the tune of Rs 4.45 lakh has been allocated to Sahariya Development Authority in Gwalior district including Rs 80,000 for Datia district. Sahariya Development Authority of Sheopur district has been allocated Rs 1265 lakh including Rs 39,000 for Morena and Rs 89,000 for Bhind district. Similarly, Rs 16.50 lakh has been allocated to Sahariya Development Authority of Shivpuri district, Rs 12.85 lakh to Guna including Rs 24,000 for Ashok Nagar district. Rs 6.65 lakh has been allocated to Baiga Development Authority of Mandla district, Rs 5.85 lakh to Baiga Development Authority of Dindori district, Rs 5.95 lakh to Baiga Development Authority of Shahdol district, Rs one lakh to Baiga Development Authority of Pushparajgarh (District Anuppur), Rs 7.50 lakh to Baiga Development Authority of district Umaria, Rs 4.90 lakh to Baiga Development Authority of Baihar (district Balaghat) and Rs 3.22 lakh to Bhariya Development Authority of Tamia (Chhindwara district) from special central grant.

About expenditure of the allocated funds, Instructions have been issued to seek approval on proposals of income-oriented schemes. Directives have also been issued for immediate fund allocation to agencies implementing the approved proposals and submission of fund utilisation and works completed certificates on the proforma fixed by the Union government. Instructions have also been issued to implement the directives with a firm hand.
