Bhopal, May 11: Madhya Pradesh continued to receive light drizzles resulting in a considerable drop in the temperature across the State on Sunday. However, State capital has witnessed heavy rains in some parts, particularly in the Airport area, where 1.8 mm of rain was recorded.
The resident of Bhopal are highly relieved, as the temperature broken its trend and dwindled up to 6 degrees. Maximum temperature of Bhopal was and was recorded at 37.8 degrees, which was 3 degrees below the normal, while the minimum temperature was 23.9, 1 degree below the normal temperature. More or less, similar weather pattern was experienced across the state. According to the Metrological Department, the reason behind the untimely rain is the impact of troughs formed in the region of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, resulting in the extension of low-pressure area.
On Sunday, a high of 39 degrees and a low of 23.4 degrees were recorded in Indore, while the maximum temperature of Gwalior was 40.1 and minimum was 26.6. Similarly, maximum temperature of Jabalpur was 39.6 degrees and minimum temperature was recorded at 27.3. Notably, the whole system is influencing the day temperature over the entire state, keeping it below the normal level, due to which the highest temperature was recorded just 41 degrees in the districts of Rewa, Sidhi and Khajuraho.
Besides, the residents of Bhopal were quite surprised with the sudden change in the climatic conditions and preferred to stay away from their homes. The capital is witnessing rocketing increase in the number of visitors in the places like boat club, VIP road and also the crowd seen hanging out in the various markets of the capital. The Regional Met department has forecasted similar conditions in most parts of the state and various districts would also witness rainfall with thunderstorms.
