BJP in election mode, election cell opened
Bhopal, Jan 15: The ruling BJP is on election mode, as the election year has commenced. The party has already established an election cell in the state party headquarters and initiated efforts for election management. State BJP vice president Anil Dave has been appointed in-charge of this cell. After facing defeats in Sanwer assembly and Khargone Lok Sabha by-elections, the BJP has formed a separate cell ahead of the elections. Those who had played pivotal role in bringing BJP to power in the year 2003 are being searched.
Party sources said that election cell has already been activated. By inaugurating the cell on Vivekanand anniversary, the party gave a message that in the upcoming assembly elections youths would be given importance. In the last elections, former orgnaisaitonal general secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki and former Chief Minister Kailash Joshi were given command. But in the present scenario, Anil Dave, orgnaisaitonal general secretary Makhan Singh and others would play an important role in the assembly elections scheduled in November 2008.
Cell in-charge Anil Dave told that the election cell would reach upto district level. Almost every aspect including social, economical, caste and political factors would be studied. He claimed that this cell does not have to do anything with the distribution of ticket. “This would prepare a background for the elections in favour of the party,” he added. In the last assembly elections, the BJP had done a detailed study on the regions. Besides other leaders, former Chairman of NTTR Shailendra Sharma had played an important role in the detailed study. Once again, Sharma has been given responsibility to assist Dave. Now, the election cell would try to find out as which factors would help in winning the elections for the BJP.
