Bhopal, Mar 16: Recognizing the role of mechanical engineering in fostering technological innovations and in the advancement of frontiers of science and technology, Rajiv Gandhi Technology University is in association with the Indian Society of Mechanical Engineering is organizing the 15th ISME international conference on New Horizons of Mechanical Engineering from March 18-20.
Mechanical Engineering is the mother of all engineering disciplines whether Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Civil, Computer or IT, as it covers a wide canvas of knowledge and work activity, said PB Sharma VC RGTU while informing about the conference. It is in the context the new horizons of Mechanical Engineering are to be visualized by pooling the brainwaves and thought ware of researchers around the world. The 15th ISME International Conference being organized by RGTU in close cooperation of the patrons of ISME at IIT Delhi holds an important agenda to identify the future directions of Mechanical Engineering Education. Research and innovations in Universities and Institutions around the world, informed Professor Sharma also National Chairman of ISME.
Over 150 research papers will be presented on various themes. Eminent speakers presenting key note addresses include Professor D Kondo, Universite de Lille (France), Padamshree Prof K L Chopra, former Director IIT Kharagpur, Prof R Natarajan, Former Director IIT Madras and Chairman AICTE, Prof J S Rao etc. The inauguration of the conference will be held on Tuesday, in the conference hall of RGPV by Babulal Gaur, Minister of Commerce and public enterprises in the presence of Laxmikant Sharma, Minister for Mining and Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
