Youth Parliament held at St Joseph's Co-Ed
Bhopal, Jan 18: Pt Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Academy organised a 'Youth Parliament' at St Joseph's Co-Ed School conference hall on Friday. MP State Women's Commission Chairperson Krishnakanta Tomar was the chief guest on the occasion. The conference hall of the school looked like a parliament as the students dressed like people’s representatives had occupied it. Forty students had been selected for the purpose. One student acted as the Speaker, while others acted as members of the ruling party and the opposition.
A 'question hour' was held in which the students discussed the problems of Madhya Pradesh. Students sitting on the Opposition benches asked various questions to which the students acting as ministers gave answers. Both the groups were very fluent in their speeches and the atmosphere of the hall looked like the atmosphere of the Question Hour in the Vidhan Sabha or Parliament. The students received huge applause, the release said further. Greatly impressed by the way the students spoke, chief guest Krishnakanta Tomar appreciated the students and said, "I see future leaders in these students."
The programme was organised by Pt Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Academy to create awareness among the youth about political activities. Director of the academy Jayshree Mishra, deputy director JC Motwani and under secretary of the Department of Parliamentary Affairs Sonune were the judges on the occasion. Principal of the school Fr Maria Stephen, head coordinator Sr Julie, headmistress Sr Pratibha, teachers Ajay Kumar Das, Bindu Rai, Nandini Chibber, Majella Arokkiam and students were present on the occasion.
