Pachauri alleges ministers in corruption
Hoshangabad, Feb 19: Union Minister and Madhya Pradesh Congress president Suresh Pachauri alleged that the BJP ruled government, which had been promising a government free of fear, poverty and corruption has itself plunged into corruption. It is known to all that several ministers of the government are facing corruption charges, he added.
He sought blessings from senior citizens of Hoshangabad for working towards bringing Congress into power. He also sought one arm of the youths on his shoulders for discharging duties. Pachauri and Election Committee president Ajay Singh were welcomed at over a hundred places in Hoshangabad town. Earlier too, local leaders had started receiving them from Ashta. The historical ‘Jan Akrosh’ rally was scheduled at Indira Chowk of Itwara Bazaar, where Pachauri addressed over 30,000 people. He recollected his school days and talking about his old days stating that Hoshangabad is his home are the people are his own. He owed his nomination as PCC president to Goddess Narmada and said that he along with his brother Ajay Singh, with the blessings of senior citizens uproot the present government from Madhya Pradesh.
About the allegations of BJP that Madhya Pradesh had been given step-motherly treatment in terms of implementing the centrally funded schemes, he stated that every year there has been a substantial increase in the fund allocation by the Congress-led UPA Government. He alleged that the state government is unable to fully utilize the funds sanctioned by Centre. He stated that in assembly elections, his priority would be development of the state. AICC General Secretary and in-charge of Madhya Pradesh affairs V Narayan Sami said that Cente sent fertilizer and seed to Madhya Pradesh, but politicians sold them out in the market. MLA Ajay Singh also spoke on the occasion. Senior party leaders Rameshwar Neekhara, Balkavi Bairagi, and Manak Agrawal were also present.
