Police groping in dark, no clue in abduction

Gwalior, Jan 20: The police are still groping in the dark in connection with suspected abduction of Ashwani Bhatt, president of pharmaceutical major Nicholas Piramal India Limited. Police claim that no ransom call has been received till date. Superintendent of Police of Indore Anshuman Singh Yadav told that the police are in continuous contact with Gwalior police in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan police connection with the incident. Police are still waiting for the ransom call at the residence of Bhatt to ascertain whether he has been abducted.

During the investigation of disappearance of Ashwani Bhatt plant president of Nicholas company of Indore the police found that Bhatt came to Gwalior to attend buyers meet in Gwalior trade fair and stayed in the hotel near the Government bus stand. In the morning he checked out the hotel and went to the trade fair and delivered a speech their. At 11.40 am. Mr. Bhatt left for Inodre. at 12.27 p.m. when Bhatt was between Ghatigaon and Mohna district Gwalior he received a phone from a friend from Indore. After that Bhatt disappeared and there is no trace of him since them.

The car of Bhatt was found in Dholpur (Rajasthan). A team of FSL of police reached Dholpur and after conducting the check of car the team returned, but the car collided with a truck near Morena by pass at the time Dr Sandeep Tomar and fingerprint expert Twari were in the car constable Suresh Yadav driving the car. This car was damaged in the accident, but the occupants remained safe. The police are working on two theories in the case of disappearance of Ashwani Bhatt. In one theory the police doubts a Gujjar gang of dacoits and in the second on a local gang.

On the other hand in a press statement former Minister MLA Govind Singh asked Chief mInister to step down and said that alleged kidnapping of Ashwani Bhatt is great challenge to the chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh who has resolved to industrilise the Gwalior – Chambal division. He had given strict orders during the programme to take strict action against the white-collar miscreants, mean while the president of prestigious company has been allegedly kidnapped. Earlier, Keath Mandis manager of Cadbury was also kidnapped causing terror in the business community of this region.
