Ruling BJP committed for agri revolution: CM
Bhopal, Dec 06: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed for bringing agriculture revolution in Madhya Pradesh by bringing a change in the society. After freedom, those rules and regulations which were obstructing progress of farmers have been changed. The State Government has reduced rate of interest on loans to farmers from 14 percent to seven percent.
Chouhan was addressing public meeting in Karhi and Rajpur of Khargone Lok Sabha constituency on Thursday. He called upon the voters to vote for BJP candidate Krishna Murari Moghe and provide him victory record margin. He stated that with the help of Moghe, the government is committed for the development of whole Nimarh region. He stated that the main opposition in assembly Congress has lost its wits seeing the progress of Madhya Pradesh, due to which it has been demanding him (Chouhan) to step down.
Later, addressing people in Goradiya, Bhikangaon, Gogariyakhedi and Wamnal Gogaon villages Chouhan stated that the Congress was responsible for backwardness in Madhya Pradesh and thus it has no right to ask for votes in the name of development. The Congress leaders patted their own back by putting foundation stones only, while in past 40 months the BJP completed those halted works including construction of dams, ponds, canals and buildings. He challenged the Congress that he was not going to step down with the fear of its leaders. On the contrary, he would work for the prosperity of the state and the people of Madhya Pradesh would decide his fate.
State BJP vice president Vijendra Singh Sisodiya contacted voters on Thursday by visiting door to door and called upon the party workers to start campaigning whole-heartedly. Besides, Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj will address three public meetings in Khargone on his one-day visit in the constituency on December 8. On the next day, senior party leader Gopinath Munde is also visiting the constituency.
