Chouhan flays Centre for supplying red wheat

Bhopal, Jan 21: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan charged the Centre for allotting decreased quota of food grains and supplying below standard wheat to MP. He also flayed the Union government for depriving the state of power and supplying substandard coal also. CM informed that the demand for special drought package would be forwarded to the union government.

Bharatiya Janata Party workers across the state on Monday expressed their dissent towards the biased policies of the Union government towards the state, by protests and also by handing over memorandum to the district magistrate. Addressing a huge gathering of BJP workers at Roshanpura Square CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan lashed out central government for supplying imported sub standard poisonous wheat, which is not fit for human use. He charged that the government which is paying farmers Rs 800 per quintal and at the same time importing wheat at Rs 1,500 per quintal.

Singh informed that union government asked them to themselves import the wheat when they reported the matter of below standard wheat. He charged that UPA government is making the state struggle for power by delaying the two power projects under way at BHEL and supplying below standard coal to the state. CM informed that they would demand a special package of Rs 25,000 crores for handling the severe drought situation in the state.

Singh charged that UPA government is hassling the public by working in unconstitutional manner. He threatened that BJP leaders would not hesitate in taking to the streets for addressing the problems of the general public. BJP State President Narendra Singh Tomar also echoed same sentiments by saying that Union government is working against the federal sentiments of the constitution and added that public would not let the center play with their interests.
