Exercise to announce Cong spokesmen

Bhopal, Mar 21: After having announced State Congress Committee, AICC General Secretary and in charge of Madhya Pradesh Affairs V Narayan Sami along with State Congress President Suresh Pachauri is making efforts to declare the list of spokespersons. In the PCC announced late on Thursday night, vice presidents, general secretaries, secretaries, executive members, invitees and permanent invitees were announced.

However, spokespersons are yet to be declared. This body of the state Congress was declared after several deliberations, as followers of all the senior party leaders had to be adjusted in the committed. The fresh committee came into existence after three and a half years. The supporters of almost all the leaders including Union Ministers Arjun Singh, Kamalnath and Suresh Pachauri, Subhash Yadav and others have been adjusted in the body.

Political observers believe that the committee is well balanced in view of seeking support from all factions of the party. Even those leaders active in particular regions and not known in state capital, have also been given chance in the body. Earlier, there were 22 spokespersons in Madhya Pradesh Congress, appointed by former PCC chief Subhash Yadav. But the AICC had approved only seven as seven spokespersons were invited in the training camp orgnaised for spokespersons from different states at New Delhi last month.

Those seven leaders participated in the training camp were- Manohar Bairagi, Mukesh Nayak, Brijmohan Shrivastava, KK Mishra, Ravi Saxena, Manak Agrawal, and PC Sharma. Out of them, Manohar Bairagi and PC Sharma have already been adjusted in the committee, while the remaining leaders are still waiting for themselves to be adjusted in the list of spokespersons. Former General Secretary of the party Brijmohan Shrivastava said that this was the best possible committee announced by the AICC in the election year. “Almost all the leaders active in the field have been given chance to work. This would certainly help the party in coming to power in Madhya Pradesh,” he added.
