Bhopal, Mar 21: The process of giving Pattas of land to tribals living in forest areas would be started soon. This was said by the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan at village Menimata in Badwani district today where he also participated in Bhagoria, the traditional tribal festival. On this occasion Chouhan announced to give the status of Tehsil to Tappa Pati.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that tribal people remain always happy due to their vicinity to nature. During the traditional Bhagoria festival their happiness increases manifold. Tribals living in forests would soon be given Pattas of land so that their happiness remains unabated. This work would be started soon. On this occasion, the Chief Minister declared Tappa Pati as a Tehsil, gave the status of Tappa Tehsil to village Silawad, announced to ensure the status of Nagar Panchayat to Phalsood and construction of Kanya Ashram building in village Sustikhera.
Earlier, the Chief Minister gave away 20 cows free of cost to 20 tribals under Kamadhenu Yojana and free cycles to 12 Kotwars. The Chief Minister also performed Bhumi Poojan of Rs 106 lakh power grid line and Rs 24.95 lakh potable water scheme at village Menimata. Those present on the occasion included MLA Devi Singh Patel, Deewan Singh Patel, chairman of District Panchayat and large number of public representatives and villagers.
