Financial aid from CM’s discretionary fund
Bhopal, Jan 22: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given succor to many a hapless victim of sudden illness and calamities by providing them relief from his voluntary fund. Chouhan has provided grants worth Rs 9.57 lakh to 72 needy persons and Rs 2.17 lakh to 19 hapless victims during the period between December 28 and 31, 2007.
Shaligram of village Itawa Itarasi in Sehore district, Suresh of Fafner Kalan, Babulal of village Padalya in Shajapur district, Shrimati Anju Shah of Gwalior, Amarnath Singh of village Tenduni in Rewa district, Ajay of village Govindpura in Raisen district and Tulsa Bai of village Undrakatchchh in Harda district have been provided grant for cancer treatment. Those who got grant from Chief Minister's Voluntary Fund for heart treatment include Brajgopal and Karuna Singh of Panna, Bajrang Purohit of Ratlam, Rukmani Tripathi of Gwalior, Pramod Kumar Gupta of Ujjain, Mahadev Saket of Sogran Tola of Sidhi district, Manju Sharma of Khargone district, Ankush Thakre of Balaghat, Harishankar Joshi of village Bisalwas Khurd in Neemuch district, Hetsingh of village Nawli in Bhind district and Bisai Kotwar of Jabalpur (Patan).
Financial assistance was provided to Bhopal's Vikram Singh when his son died in a road accident, Meena Bai of Hiwarkhed village in Betul district for the treatment of her son who had got injured in a road mishap, Sohan Shrivastava who lost both his legs in a road mishap, Narmada Bai for the treatment of her son and husband who were electrocuted, Ambaram of village Khati Gaon in Shajapur district who lost one of his hands in thrasher accident, Radheshyam of Bhopal who met with an accident, Shantaram of village Pardi in Chhindwara district whose son was injured in a road mishap, Ankush Gurab of Chhindwara district on getting injured, Mamata Jain of village Pathari on her husband Jitendra Kumar's death in a road mishap and next of kin of Malti Devi of Damoh who died in a road mishap were granted assistance from Chief Minister's Voluntary Fund. Chief Minister Chouhan gave away Rs 25,000 to the next of kin of five persons who died in blast of explosives in Naogaon in Chhatarpur district. Besides, grants were also provided to many people suffering from kidney ailment, several women suffering from gynaecological complexities, a number of TB patients and people suffering from gangrene, mental disorder. Grants were also provided to many to undergo surgery and repair of houses devastated by natural calamities.
