Interactive session at Met Centre
Bhopal, Mar 23: To mark the World Metrological Day, Metrological Centre, Bhopal organized an interactive session here on Sunday. On the occasion, officials of the metrological department informed about the procedure of weather forecasting and answered the queries of people. The Metrological Centres at Arera Hills and Bairagarh both remained open through out the day for visitors.
The officials also informed about the various climatic conditions prevalent in the state and its affects on the lives of common man. They further informed that to provide an accurate forecast a speed data terminal and integrated voice recording system would soon be setup in the metrological centres. Besides, for the convenience of farmers the department is also initiating a weekly district wise weather forecast system in the state, they added.
Similarly, the Bhopal chapter of the Indian Metrological Society is also organizing a lecture at the Metrological Centre on Monday. Chairman MP Pollution Control Board SP Gautam will be chief guest on the occasion while Director of Metrological Centre DP Dubey will preside over the same. Head of the Department (HOD) Physics of Barkatullah University Professor AK Gwal will be present as the special guest on the occasion.
