Society needs good citizens: Shivraj
Bhopal, Jan 27: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that society needs good citizens on one hand and on the other hand people capable of give good leadership are also required. Children must move forward in every field of life for building a good society. After progressing ahead in their lives, children must also not forget about their past background and areas.
Chouhan expressed these views while interacting at Chief Minister House with the children who have come to Bhopal to take part in Leadership Development Camp. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented all the 300 children with Vivekanand literature and one watch each as memento. Those present on the occasion included Chief Minister’ wife Sadhana Singh, Principal Secretary OP Rawat, Commissioner Jaydeep Govind and Sudesh Kumar. Chouhan told the children to move ahead up to the top in whatever field they want to make progress. Children must consolidate their foundation at the school level so that the building of their future becomes strong. Children must be such education which can instill among them the sense to sacrifice everything for the country. The Chief Minister told the children to go through Swami Vivekanad's literature which would inspire them for moving ahead in their lives. Swami Vivekanand had said that everything can be done if one makes up his mind.
Leadership Development Camp is being organised from January 23 to 28 at Bhopal for the children belonging to scheduled castes and tribes who have got merit in Class X exams. Two children from each district have been selected to take part in this camp. Among the participating children Pallavi Messi Damoh, Amit Likhar and Deepak Rajore Khalghat and Shilpa Nagre Mandla also expressed their views and thanked the Chief Minister for increasing hostel stipend. On the occasion, 80 school children who had come to take part in Republic Day parade from Dhar and Jhabua districts presented a dance. Chief Minister Chouhan release a souvenir on Leadership Development Camp. Additional Commissioner Tribes GS Netam proposed a vote of thanks.
