SP MLA Bundela might face action
Bhopal, Mar 29: Samajwadi Party (SP) legislator Vijay Bahadur Singh Bundela might lose his membership from the assembly, as the party has decided to write Vidhan Saha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani in this connection accusing Bundela for overlooking party whip.
Getting annoyed over not following party whip, the Samajwadi party (SP) is planning to get the membership of Vijay Bahadur Singh Bundela terminated from Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. SP leader of legislators in the House Sunilam told that he would soon write to Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani for terminating his membership on the charge of not following party whip during Rajya Sabha elections that held on Friday. There are eight legislators of Samajwadi Party (SP) in Madhya Pradesh assembly and the party had issued whip for voting independent candidate Vivek Tankha in the election, but MLA from Lanjhi Kishroe Samrite had openly refused to vote for Tankha and later exposed Congress for bribing him for voting in favour of Tankha.
Later, after meeting SP national General Secretary Amar Singh, Samrite agreed to vote for Tankha and did the same during polling. However, Vijay Bahadur Singh Bundela voted for BJP, against party whip. Party sources said that Bundela had been violating party guideline for a longtime, but no action was taken against him. During last Rajya Sabha election in the year 2004, he had voted for BJP and similarly in the President’s election Bundela voted for Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, while all the party MLAs voted for Pratibha Patil.
