Cabinet clears 2765 posts in HC and HSCs

Bhopal, Jan 30: The cabinet gave clearance to create 2765 posts in high school and higher secondary schools under zero budget. Besides, several other important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting here on Wednesday. In 1999-2000 233 high schools and 94 higher secondary schools were opened by District Planning Committees under appropriation scheme.

There was no separate provision for creation of posts for these schools and these schools were being conducted with the help of surplus teachers. The state cabinet has approved creation of posts for these 196 high schools and 77 higher secondary schools. Accordingly, 196 posts for regular principals, 1176 psots of teachers, 196 posts of assitant teachers and 196 posts of assistant grade-3 (contract). Thus, total 1764 posts have been approved for high schools. Similarly, for 77 higher secondary schools total 1001 posts have been approved including 77 principals, 616 senior teachers, 154 assistant teachers, 77 assistant reachers (physical training) and 77 assistants grade-2. Rs 6 crore 48 lakh is estimated to be spent per annum on the 1764 posts of 196 high schools and Rs 11 crore 61 lakh on 1001 posts of 77 higher secondary schools.

The state cabinet has approved creation of 32 varios posts for the upkeep of judges guest houses at Madhya Pradesh High Court Jabalpur and Indore Benches of Madhya Pradesh High Court at Indore and Gwalior apart from Bhopal. The cabinet decided not to entertain any new settlement in the inter-corporate deposit case of M/s S Kumar Group of Companies. The state cabinet has taken this decision on the basis of the fact that S Kumar's have not complied with the provisions of first and second settlement. The cabinet decided to re-activate divisional offices of Horticulture and Food Processing Department. These divisional offices are situated at Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjan, Rewa, Sagar and Jabalpur. It may be mentioned that after implementation of District Government concept, these offices were handed over to District Governments. The state government has now decided to re-activate these divisional offices which would be headed by officers of the rank of additional director.

The state cabinet has approved special pay package for the police officials/employees posted at Lokayukta. Rs 300 and Rs 600 special salary has been approved for police employees and officers posted at Lokayukta. The cabinet has decided to accommodate surplus staff of public undertakings like Oilseed Federation and Dairy Federation in various state government departments as per their service conditions. Under this plan, the available vacant posts in the government departments would be filled up by the surplus employees of the state government on the priority basis. In case surplus staff is not available, second priority would be given to daily wagers doing service for the last 10 years.

The cabinet decided to give government service to one member of families of four persons who were shot dead by Rambabu Gadaria dacoit gang in village Karsena in Shivpur district. Similarly, special appointment in government service would be given to one member of the dependent families of two persons who were killed in village Rehat under Ghatigaon police station in district Gwalior. It was also decided to provide compensation on the causalities by animals barring snakes only. Earlier, only wild animals were included in the rules. Under this category, the relatives of the deceased would get Rs 1 lakh and Rs 20,000 for treatment in case of injuries. Provision for compensation in loss of life by snake-bite is already mentioned in RBC. The cabinet decided to provide plots in Transport Nagar (Kokta, Bhopal) on lease, without process of reservation or bid.
