Effective strategy for technical education
Bhopal, Jan 30: Remarkable achievements have been made in the field of technical education during the current financial year in Madhya Pradesh. The state government has chalked out an effective strategy for the next financial year in view of students' increasing inclination towards technical education. Under the strategy, at least one technical college would be opened in every district. Besides, other necessary arrangements would also be ensured.
It may be mentioned that during the current financial year admissions in technical courses have registered 15.30 percent increase while the seats in technical education institutions have gone up by 16 percent. At present there are 418 technical education institutions and the strength of students in these institutions has gone up to 63 thousand 990. Increased interest of youths in technical education has opened the vista of extension of this field. It has also been decided under the strategy prepared in this context to establish language labs in engineering and polytechnic colleges.
It has also been decided to ensure that every polytechnic must have at least four branches and every college must be improved for having a capacity of 240 students' admission. Under the new strategy, it has been decided that two-shifts would be held in every college in the most sought-after technical colleges. Not only this, but with a view to tapping resources fully, polytechnic colleges would be extended. In this connection, buildings of various technical institutions would be extended and improved.
