Chouhan virtually launches poll campaign
Bhopal, May 01: A day after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
virtually launched his election campaign for November assembly
polls, the Congress responded asserting that it will form the
next government in Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, concluding
24-hour fast, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stepping
up the campaign, sought ‘searching questions’ from Congress led
UPA regime at the Centre.
Chief Minister breaks his fast
Bhopal, May 01: After observing 24-hour fast against the Centre,
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday said that he
would publicly honour Prime Minister Manmohan Singh if the
state's demands were conceded or else the crusade would be
continued with full vigour.
HRC for services through public participation
Bhopal, May 01: Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Human Rights
Commission Justice DM Dharmadhikari has said that
public-oriented service facilities can be effectively
implemented with the cooperation of elected people's
representatives and public participation.
Primitive Tribes Authorities meet
Bhopal, May 01: Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare OP Rawat
chaired a review meeting of Primitive Tribes Development
Authorities here yesterday. The meeting review grants received
by the authorities under Special Central Grant and Central
Regional Scheme and its expenditure during the last three years.
He issued instructions to specially prepare proposals of
homeless people belonging to primitive tribes under 13th Finance
Commission.
Mine-based SEZ in Jabalpur
Bhopal, May 01: A mine-based
Special Economic Zone would be developed at Hargarh village in
Sihora Tehsil in Jabalpur district. A target has been set to
complete this SEZ in three years by the year 2011. The Union
government has given formal approval to proposal of this SEZ
recently. The Special Economic Zone would be developed by Madhya
Pradesh Audyogik Vikas Kendra, Jabalpur.
