Three more SIMI activists nabbed

Bhopal, Apr 02: Madhya Pradesh Police on Wednesday arrested three more activists of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) taking the total of arrested activists to 24. Superintendent of Police of Indore Anshuman Singh Yadav told media persons in Indore, that the arrested have been identified as Amaan, Zakir Lala and Irfan Chhipa.

 

New tariff not to affect farmers

Bhopal, Apr 02: The new power tariff rates fixed by Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission are not going to entail any burden on common consumers. On the contrary they would get relief. Meanwhile the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured that nominal hike in the power tariff would not be allowed to affect the general public and farmers.

 

Agriculture to be made profitable: CM

Bhopal, Apr 02: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that agriculture could be made profitable by preserving available water. Water was never more precious as it is today. The water crisis could be resolved by retaining water of village in the village and water of farms in the farms.

 

Malaiya reviews Investors’ meet

Bhopal, Apr 02: The Minister for Industries, Commerce and Employment Jayant Malaiya reviewed the preparations for the Investors Meet to be held at Sagar, at a meeting held in the Collector office, Sagar today. Addressing the meeting the Minister said that it is for the first time that the state government has focused attention and efforts on integrated development of Bundelkhand region.

 

Maps based on water quality prepared

Bhopal, Apr 02: Maps based on quality of water are being prepared under Rapid Quality Assessment Programme by Public Health Engineering Department. Meanwhile, the department has tested at its laboratory more than six and a half thousand specimen from the water sources of all the districts.
