School boy shot dead by classmate
Bhopal, Jan 03: In a yet another shocking incident, Rahul Singh,
16 a class X student in Chorwari village in Satna district shot
dead a class VIII student of the same school Dharmu Kol. The
reason behind this gruesome incident is yet to be known. When
the school was over after half-yearly examination on Thursday,
the older boy shot dead his classmate from blank range, in broad
daylight from his .12 bore country made pistol.
Use science and technology for prosperity
Bhopal, Jan 03: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called to
ensuring use of science and technology for bringing prosperity
to the life of the common man. He laid stressed on the efforts
to see as to how science and technology can benefit rural
artistes, artisans, farmers and common man. If science is
connected to common man, it would definitely bear fruits. These
views were expressed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
while presiding over eighth general meeting of Madhya Pradesh
Council for Science and Technology.
Rs 10 crore spent for primitive tribes
Bhopal, Jan 03: Funds of Rs 10 crore were sanctioned during the
year 2007-08 for all round development and preservation of three
primitive tribes of Madhya Pradesh has been allocated to
concerning Tribal Welfare Project, member secretaries and
district coordinators. These three tribes include Baiga,
Sahariya and Bhariya. The funds allocated under Central Area
Scheme (Conservation and Development Plan) would be utilised for
educational, economic and social development of these tribes.
Campaign to provide khasra copies free of cost
Bhopal, Jan 03: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
launched a statewide campaign to provide khasra copies free of
cost to farmers at Amla in Betul district today. Speaking on the
occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government has
re-started the facility of providing hand written copies of
khasra to farmers who want it, in addition to computerised
copies of khasra B-1. This would mitigate the difficulties of
farmers to a great extent. The special campaign would continue
till January 31.
Development Plan-2021 for Indore
Bhopal, Jan 03: The Development Plan-2021 for Indore township
area has been implemented from the first day of the New Year.
Many special provisions have been made in the plan for planned
development of Indore. In the township area about 34047 hectare
land has been reserved for urban development. Out of this 46.39
percent land has been reserved for residential purposes, 7.66
for commercial, 7.43 percent industrial, 7.91 for PSP, 14.15
percent for recreational and 16.46 percent land has been
reserved for transportation purposes.
