HS School buildings

Bhopal, Jan 04: The state government has approved 20 places to build higher secondary school buildings there. These schools situated in 12 districts and run by Tribal Welfare Department, do not have their own buildings. During the financial year 2007-08, the state government has sanctioned Rs nine crore at the rate of Rs 45 lakh per building against the construction proposal.

 

BJP meet in Gwalior

Gwalior, Jan 04: A two-day state level conference of Mandal office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party is being organized from January 5 in Gwalior. The national president of BJP and the chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan would be present in the conference.

Bhopal, Jan 04: State Congress president Subhash Yadav is packing the state Congress with his loyalists as AICC chief Sonia Gandhi in last two years has not given a go-ahead to Yadav to form PCC executive due to factionalism. Senior leaders like Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia are feeling the heat as their supporters are not getting any place in the committee.

 

Villagers to get ownership rights of plots

Bhopal, Jan 04: Soon Madhya Pradesh is going to become the first state in the country where villagers will get ownership rights of their residential plots and houses. For this a state-wide campaign would be launched. A sum of Rs 10 to 12 crore is estimated to be spent on this campaign. Giving this information, Revenue Minister Kamal Patel said that Governor Balram Jakhar and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would formally launch this campaign on January 26, 2008. Revenue Minister Patel said that from January 26, 2008 the work of distributing Bhu-Adhikar Pustika (Land Rights Booklet) would also get underway.

 

Farmers’ rest house dedicated in Betul

Betul, Jan 04: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated to the people the newly built Krishak Vishram Grah (Farmers' Rest House) in the premises of Krishi Upaj Mandi here yesterday. The rest house built from Mandi Fund at a cost of Rs nine lakh, would facilitate the farmers from the remote areas to have a night stay. Chief Minister Chouhan said that farmers would be paid at the rate of current market prices for their land acquired for setting up industrial units or any other government work.

 

Media gallery in Van Vihar premises

Bhopal, Dec 04: Briefing arrangements have been made at Van Vihar National Park for all types of media. According to information given by Principal Chief Forest Conservator (Wildlife) PB Gangopadhyaya, this arrangement has been made with a view to establishing constant contact with media, both electronic and print. This briefing would be made regularly everyday except special occasions and holidays (Friday and Sunday) at Vihar Vithika which is situated near Gate Number 2 of Van Vihar. The brief would be given at 4 pm.

 

MP Jangarh Puraskar instituted

Bhopal, Jan 04: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's announcement made at Jan Samvad to encourage tribal artistes has been implemented in the form of institution of Madhya Pradesh Jangarh Puraskar. The first Madhya Pradesh Jangarh Puraskar-2007 award would be bestowed on famous Gondi painter of the state Dilip Shyam. Tribal Welfare and Forest Minister Vijay Shah informed that this award would be given to Shyam during International Tribal Film Festival to be held at Indore from February l, 2008. On this occasion his masterpieces would also be displayed at an exhibition.
