Betul, Apr 05: Madhya Pradesh Commercial Tax Minister Babulal Gaur said sale of only hologram-marked liquor would be allowed from April 15 in order to curb sale of spurious liquor. “The government has made necessary preparations in this regard. Sale of spurious liquor would not be possible in the state,” Gaur added.

Bhopal, Apr 05: Political parties are finding it very difficult to sell their dreams in Betul Lok Sabha by-election because of short tenure of the winning candidate. Candidates from al three important political parties- ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP), are non-tribal. As per the de-limitation norms, Betul Lok Sabha constituency would be tribal reserved constituency in the next round of general elections.

 

Action on using residential premises

Bhopal, Apr 05: The Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Raghav Chandra has issued instructions to Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bhopal to initiate legal action against the people who are found responsible for using residential or public land illegally for non-residential purposes.

 

Criminal case against Vet official

Bhopal, Apr 05: The State Bureau of Investigation for Economic Offenses (SBIEO) on Saturday registered a case against deputy director and account section in charge of Veterinary Services Shivpuri. The duo was accused of financial irregularities to the tune of more than Rs 1.5 crore while withdrawing money from GPF and other heads.

 

Tourism hubs in different parts of state

Bhopal, Apr 05: In a bid to attract tourists to its various historic and picturesque destinations, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPTDC) is planning to develop 'tourism hubs' at different places across the state. "We have achieved considerable success in developing infrastructure including roads across the state. We are now putting our efforts to develop 'Tourism Hubs' at different tourist places including Bhopal, Ujjain, Reva, Satna, Sanchi, etc", Dhruv Narayan Singh, Chairman MPTDC told reporters here on Saturday.

 

Advani to release 'Adi Vikramaditya'

Bhopal, Apr 05: Former deputy prime minister and leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Lalkrishna Advani would release a book focusing on 'Adi Vikramaditya' the initiator of Nav Samvatsar and a calendar titled 'Janyoddha' based on fighters of freedom struggle of 1857 at Ujjain on April 6.
