Private aircraft makes emergency landing
Bhopal, Jan 06: A trainee pilot of Ujjain-based Yash Air made
emergency landing in a field at Astha tehsil of Sehore district
on Sunday afternoon. The trainee pilot has reportedly lost
direction and landed in the field. He was reported to be safe
but the two-seater plane got damaged in the incident. The
trainee pilot was sent for medical examination but no case was
registered against him and the Civil Aviation Department has
been informed of the incident.
37143 families of 192 villages rehabilitated
Bhopal, Jan 06: The Rehabilitation and Resettlement work of
37143 families of 192 villages of Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani and
Khargone district affected by Sardar Sarovar Project (SSP) is
running in last phase and is likely to be completed before onset
of Monsoon 2008. The completion of remaining Relief and
Rehabilitation work would enable to raise dam height from
present 121.92 m to full and final 138.68m height.

Bhopal, Jan 06: Chief Minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that through public
participation, Madhya Pradesh has taken a big leap towards
achieving the targets of United Nations Millennium Campaign for
eradicating poverty and inequality. Madhya Pradesh government
with people's cooperation has succeeded in spreading awareness
about education, women's empowerment, poverty eradication,
children's welfare, and environment protection, prevention of
deadly diseases and health security of pregnant women.
Shivraj solves problems of common people
Bhopal, Jan 06: A number of people
meet the Chief Minister individually and in groups seeking
redressal to their grievances everyday. The Chief Minister gives
a patient hearing to them and receives their petitions, which
are acted upon promptly. The people of predominantly tribal
village Sadhe Barah Gaon in Raisen district have now started
getting essential commodities and other necessities after they
complained to Chouhan in this regard.
Consumer Protection Day on March 15
Bhopal, Jan 06: Persons and
voluntary organisations making important contribution in
consumer protection sector would be honoured on the occasion of
Consumer Protection Day on March 15. The state government has
set March 5 as the last date for filing applications for the
same. Under the state-level award scheme persons and
organisations actively involved in consumers' protection would
be given first prize to the tune of Rs 15,000 each, second prize
of Rs 10,000 and third prize of Rs 5,000.
