Bhopal, Mar 06: In the election year, Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya
Janata party (BJP) is making efforts to get leaders of the state
in the Rajya Sabha, as elections to three seats are likely in
the current month. Picking up local leaders would impact the
forthcoming assembly elections in the state on caste and region
wise, because there are several leaders who need to be rewarded.
Status of women pathetic, no celebration
Bhopal, Mar 06: The social and economic status of women directly
impinges on their freedom in real terms. In that context, we
have nothing to celebrate this year, in the upcoming women’s
day. A survey recently conducted by a UN agency in the state
revealed that Madhya Pradesh which is one of the four largest
states in North India, the literacy rate of female has dipped
below one third of the total female population.

with religious fervour across the state on Thursday. Devotees in
lakhs thronged in the holy city of Ujjain and Bhojpur, near
state capital. On the occasion of 'Mahashivratri' a huge influx
of devotees in serpentine rows had 'darshan' of Lord Shiva at
this ancient temple town's Mahakaleshar temple, among the 12
jyotirlingas of India.
Students to get easy question papers
Bhopal, Mar 06: The students of class V and VIII might get
relatively easy question papers in the annual exams this year.
It is likely that system of separate question paper and answer
sheets might be abolished. The papers would include lesser
number of long answer questions to ease out students from exam
pressure. The District Institute of Education Training has been
assigned with the responsibility of preparing model question
papers for both the classes. The Schools would conduct the exams
process at their local level from this year onwards.

confer land rights on slum dwellers. He said that the aim would
remain unattained until the fruits of development and progress
reach the last man in the last row. CM was speaking at a
felicitation function organized by the district unit of
