Girl attempts suicide

Barwani, May 07: A 15-year-old tribal girl, who was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted, attempted self immolation and suffered severe burn injuries in this district, police today said. The victim, resident of Kalyanpur, had gone to her relative's marriage at Pichhori village where she was kidnapped by six people and criminally assaulted two days back.

Former Gwalior Mayor debarred for polls

Bhopal, May 07: Principal Secretary Urban Administration and Development Department (UADD) debarred former Gwalior Mayor from contesting civic bodies elections for five years. The Lokayukta recommended the action against the former Mayor and MLA from Bhander in the past. The then ten MiC members and engineers were reportedly absolved from all charges.

CM’s surprise visit in Mandla district

Police inspector attempts suicide

Gwalior, May 07: The SHO of Malanpur (Bhind) police station Ramakant Bajpai attempted suicide by consuming poison on Tuesday night. Family dispute is reported to be the reason behind his taking this extreme step. He was admitted in a private hospital from where he was referred to Delhi.
