Another dalit girl burnt in MP
Bhopal, Mar 08: A minor dalit girl, who was burnt by four
miscreants for protesting eve-teasing, died last night in
Shahgarh area of Sagar district. The girl was facing indecent
behaviour of the offenders for the past one month, police said.
She was undergoing treatment for the past three days after she
was set afire for protesting against eve-teasers who had tried
to molest her.
Harda bandh called by Cong was peaceful
Harda, Mar 08: The bandh called by Congress was largely peaceful
and evoked mixed response with a majority of the markets
remained closed Saturday. However, there were reports of minor
scuffles between the Congress workers and the Bharatiya Janata
Party (BJP) supporters.
Culture heritage is unique: Renuka
Gwalior, Mar 08: The Union Woman and Child Welfare Minister
Renuka Chaudhary said, “Our cultural heritage is unique and it
is our duty to look after it.” She was speaking as the chief
guest in the inaugural function of three-day heritage festival
at the floating stage of Baijatal in Motimahal Complex. The head
of the heritage foundation and MP Jyotiraditya Scindia was also
present in the programme.
Other parties challenge before BJP-Cong
Bhopal, Mar 08: Madhya Pradesh Congress Poll campaign committee
Chairman Ajay Singh said that political parties from other
states are posing a threat to both BJP and Congress in forth
coming assembly elections. Both the parties should take it as a
challenge and chalk out strategies, he added.
Women's Mahapanchayat in April
Bhopal, Mar 08: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said
that the first Women's Mahapanchayat of the state would be held
in April. Chouhan said that an atmosphere is being created in
Madhya Pradesh where every day would be Women's Day. The
programmes for women's welfare are being launched by Madhya
Pradesh government with full intensity and sincerity.
