Bhopal, May 08: Lokayukta Ripusudan Dayal recommended cancellation of allotment of two plots to Guruji Seva Trust by Indore Development Authority (IDA) in Indore last year. A copy of recommendation has been sent to Principal Secretary Housing and Environment and IDA Chairman.

 

50 pc grant for pilgrims going to Pakistan

Indore, May 08: The Madhya Pradesh Government will provide 50 per cent grant to pilgrims from the state undertaking visit to Hinglaj Devi in Pakistan. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made the announcement on the occasion of Parashuram Jayanti today at the birthplace of Lord Pashuram at Janapav near Mhow. He announced that a state holiday would be observed on 'Parashuram Jayanti' from next year.

 

MoUs started bearing fruits

Bhopal, May 08: State government has effected an important amendment to Jail Manual with a view to redressing problem of overcrowding in jail in Madhya Pradesh. As per the amendment, now the prisoners undergoing five years' jail term would be detained in sub-jails. Similarly, those undergoing ten or more years' imprisonment or life term would be detained in central jails.
