Last cabinet reshuffle likely soon
Bhopal, May 10: A significant and perhaps the last one before
the assembly polls, cabinet expansion is likely soon.
Accountability and performance will be the sole criteria and the
‘dead wood’ consisting of four ministers may be dropped from
Shivraj Singh Chouhan government.
White tigress operated upon successfully
Bhopal, May 10: The 18-year old Van
Vihar white tigress ‘Rini’ has been successfully operated for
removing the mole just below its right eye on Saturday. The
veterinary experts from US during their visit also suggested the
surgical operation as the only option. According to Van Vihar
authorities, the condition of the tigress is stable after the
operation.
Judges to get printers with laptops
Bhopal, May 10: A year after distributing laptops under e-court
project, the judges in the state are being provided printers for
successful implementation of IT initiatives in the judiciary.
The nationwide programme under e-court project had been launched
at the order of the Supreme Court to enhance courts’ working
capacity.
Children be aware of freedom struggle
Bhopal, May 10: Governor Balram Jakhar has said that younger
generation should be made aware of realities of India's freedom
struggle minutely so that they can imbibe spirit of nationalism
and ethos of fraternity and amity. The Governor was addressing
freedom fighters at a function held at Ravindra Bhawan here on
Saturday to remember martyrs and on the occasion of 150th
anniversary of India's first war of independence fought in 1857.
Thermal plants facing shortage of coal
Bhopal, May 10: At least three thermal stations in Madhya
Pradesh are facing severe shortage of coal despite lifting of
full stock supplied, the government said on Saturday. The state
government is in regular contact with coal companies, railway
and the central government to ensure required quantity of coal
for the thermal stations at Sarni, Birsinghpur and Amarkantak.
