MPSTDC efforts to woo tourists
Bhopal, Jan 11: Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development
Corporation (MPSTDC) has initiated efforts for wooing tourists
from metropolitan cities of the country. It has chalked out a
strategy to showcase Madhya Pradesh tourism potential in
different states. The corporation is mainly targeting Ahmedabad,
Mumbai, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Bangalore and Kolkata. In Ahmedabad
and Bangalore, offices of the corporation have been introduced
to attract tourists.
MP leads country in law and order: CM
Sagar, Jan 11: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said
that Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in peace and law
and order situation. He said that development is impossible
without peace and prosperity and days are not far when Madhya
Pradesh would become the topmost state in the matter of peace
and security.
My party playing true opposition: Brinda
Bhopal, Jan 11: CPI (M) Politburo member Brinda Karat on Friday
said her party was playing the role of true opposition in
Parliament instead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “The BJP
has remained a mute spectator to public welfare related issues
and matters concerning weaker sections. On the other hand, the
CPI (M) had been continuously raising these issues,” Ms Karat
told a 'Meet the Press' programme organised at central press
club here.
Kapildhara wells would
improve lives
Bhopal, Jan 11: Forest and Tribal
Welfare Minister Vijay Shah has said that the economic condition
of tribal and poor farmers would improve with the digging of
Kapildhara wells in their fields. With the view to save farmers
from the clutch of loan, the state government is digging
Kapildhara wells from its own funds. Shah was addressing
residents of remote forest village Anwaliya.
Workshop for training to land rights
Bhopal, Jan 11: A daylong workshop was held here Academy of
Administration to impart training to master trainers about
process related to implementation of Schedule Tribes and Other
Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act
2006 and 2007. A total of 150 master trainers from Bhopal,
Hoshangabad and Sagar division took part in the workshop.
