MPSTDC efforts to woo tourists
Bhopal, Jan 12: Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development
Corporation (MPSTDC) has initiated efforts for wooing tourists
from metropolitan cities of the country. It has chalked out a
strategy to showcase Madhya Pradesh tourism potential in
different states. The corporation is mainly targeting Ahmedabad,
Mumbai, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Bangalore and Kolkata. In Ahmedabad
and Bangalore, offices of the corporation have been introduced
to attract tourists.
Yoga would be part of school education
Bhopal, Jan 12: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has
announced that Yoga would be part of school education from next
academic session in the state. He also announced that January
12, the Vivekanand Jayanti would also be observed as Yoga Diwas
from next year. He was speaking at the state level Surya
Namaksar programme organized by School Education Department here
at the TT Nagar stadium on Saturday.
Youth policy to be implemented soon
Bhopal, Jan 12: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said
that a well-contemplated youth policy would be implemented in
the Madhya Pradesh. He said that the state government would
implement the youth policy which has been prepared on the
initiative of the youths. Chouhan was addressing Youth
Parliament organised here at Ravindra Bhawan on the occasion of
Swami Vivekanand Jayanti.
Land rights to farmers from Jan 26
Bhopal, Jan 12: The scheme to
provide Pattas for land-right to farmers is going to start from
January 26. Governor Balram Jakhar and Chief Minister Shivraj
Singh Chouhan would inaugurate the scheme. State government has
decided that to facilitate farmers they must be given only one
Integrated Land-right and Loan Booklet in place of two separate
booklets. It has also been decided to include some other vital
information such as layouts of field in the new booklet.
Women have to prove their mettle: CM
Betul, Jan 12: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said
that women would have to prove their mettle in shedding their
image as feeble and helpless. Chouhan was addressing 'Women's
Empowerment Conference' at Betul. It is vital since the
responsibility of basic development of the entire generation
rests on the shoulders of women. He said that Madhya Pradesh is
the only state in the country which has implemented schemes to
help a girl right from her birth to marriage and to her becoming
a mother.
