MP cops top in criminal cases
Bhopal, May 12: The state cops have earned a dubious distinction
of topping the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) compilation
of criminal cases against police personnel in the country. It
accounted for 35.4 per cent of total complaints. And when
comparative rate of complaints per 100 policemen has been
computed, the state again stood first with a share of 29.1 per
cent in total complaints.
Irregularities in electoral rolls alleged
Bhopal, May 12: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President
Suresh Pachauri alleged that widespread irregularities in
electoral rolls have been done due to the political pressure and
an intensive investigation shall be initiated in this regard.
Online registration of births and deaths
Bhopal, May 12: Arrangements for online registration of births
and deaths would be made in major cities of Madhya Pradesh. This
information was given at a workshop held here today on the
system of registration of births and deaths. Finance and
Planning Minister Raghavji inaugurated the workshop.
Empowered committee led by Sahni
Bhopal, May 12: An empowered
committee would be constituted under the chairmanship of the
Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni for development of the area falling
in Madhya Pradesh under the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial
Corridor.
Vishnoi visits Union Carbide factory
Bhopal, May 12: Gas Tragedy Relief
and Rehabilitation Minister Ajay Vishnoi on Monday visited Union
Carbide and inspected its defunct plant and spot from where gas
had leaked. Officers of Gas Tragedy Department accompanied him.
