Kunbi votes concern for ruling BJP
Bhopal, Jan 14: Over 13 percent votes of Kunbi community in
Betul Lok Sabha constituency are the main concern for the ruling
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Though notification for the
by-election has not been issued, main political parties- BJP and
Congress have initiated efforts to know the pulse of voters.
Political observers claim that Kunbi votes play an important
role in Betul Lok Sabha constituency.
Substandard red wheat being supplied
Bhopal, Jan 14: Expressing anger over supply of imported
‘substandard’ red wheat to Madhya Pradesh under the Public
Distribution System (PDS), Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
on Monday said that he would raise the matter during his New
Delhi visit on January 22 and demand immediate cessation of such
supply. During a sudden inspection of the Food Corporation of
India's godown at Chhola Road here, the chief minister took
stock of wheat and rice samples.
MoUs signed earlier reviewed
Bhopal, Jan 14: Industry Minister Jayant Malaiya chaired a
two-day review meeting of MoUs signed with entrepreneurs for
investment in Madhya Pradesh. On the first day of the meeting,
21 MoUs worth Rs 73,000 crore were discussed. As many as 120
MoUs were signed at Investment Meet at Khajuraho and Destination
Madhya Pradesh Global Summit at Indore last year where Industry
Department and TRIFEC had signed Rs 96,473 crore 55 MoUs. The
state government is constantly reviewing these MoUs for
implementing them.
BJP, BJYM gherao RPF police station
Jabalpur, Jan 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharatiya
Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers on Monday gheraoed RPF police
station to protest the beating up of three media persons at
Jabalpur railway station recently. Later, RPF officials posted
at the outpost were transferred. Besides, Youth Congress workers
burnt the RPF in effigy in protest against the incident.
Sagar bandh over PTA president’s death
Sagar, Jan 14: A bandh was observed at Sagar on Monday, after
the death of a parent-teacher association dalit president, who
committed self-immolation a week back in front of local
Bharatiya Janata Party MP's 'janata darbar'. Congress leaders
have lashed out at the government over the death of PTA
President.
