Indore, Apr 14: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former deputy premier LK Advani today accused the Centre's United Progressive Alliance regime of being unsuccessful in checking galloping inflation. “The rise in prices will be raised as a principal issue during the parliamentary session getting underway tomorrow,” the Bharatiya Janata Party leader told media persons here.

 

600 couples tie nuptial knot

Indore, Apr 14: The largest ever mass marriage ceremony was held at Indore on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami on Monday where 600 couples of different sections of society tied the nuptial knot. Over 1.25 lakh people including the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other public representatives were present on the occasion. The ceremony was organized jointly by the district administration and Yuva Bhartiya Sangathan.

 

CM for congenial atmosphere to PWD

Bhopal, Apr 14: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has called upon the media to create a congenial atmosphere for public welfare and development. Chouhan was speaking after performing Bhoomi Pujan for development works taken up in the second phase of the Press Club, Indore here today. Under this phase, 18 rooms would be constructed on the lines of INS.

 

Scindia in Marathon race in Gwalior

Gwalior, Apr 14: “I would prove true on your confidence and discharge my responsibility honestly,” said Union Minister of State for Communication and IT Jyotiaditya Scindia while addressing the runners of marathon here on Monday. He further said that he would bring several schemes of development for Gwalior and declared that he would run in the marathon race to be organized next year.
