Illegal auto gas

Bhopal, Mar 16: The District Food Department and District Administration officials on Sunday seized 4 vehicles for using the illegal gas kit and one running on domestic gas cylinders. The department has confiscated the vehicles and it has also lodged complaint with the police.

Police station attacked

Indore, Mar 16: Five police personnel were injured when a mob pelted stones on Warla police station of Barwani district demanding compensation to five labourers, who suffered injuries due to electrocution. A cotton-laden truck on which five labourers were sitting came in contact with electric wires when it was en route from Chikhali village.

No-confidence unfortunate

Workshop to train security forces

Gwalior, Mar 16: A workshop to train security forces to combat threat was being organized in Tekanpur near Gwalior. Commandoes from as many as 17 states including para-military forces are displaying their skills in workshop-cum-competition being organized by the Border Security Force Academy. A total of 17 different units, each of them comprising 22 commandoes have been participating in the workshop.

Irrigation in 11 lakh additional area

Bhopal, Mar 16: Water Resources and Higher Education Minister Anup Mishra has said that 11 lakh additional area has been brought under irrigation during last four and a half years in the state. This is a remarkable achievement for the state government. Anup Mishra was addressing a function which was held for laying foundation stones of two irrigation projects with an estimated cost of Rs three crore at Dongar Gaon, 30 km from Indore yesterday.

'Adirang' will be held from March 17

Bhopal, Mar 16: Tribal festival 'Adirang' is going to be held on March 17 and 18 at Bhopal Haat by Tribal Research and Development Institute. This time the focus of this two-day festival would be based on world of art of primitive backward tribes. Tribal Welfare and Forest Minister Vijay Shah would inaugurate the meet on March 17 at 7 pm. The function would be presided over by Minister of State for Tribal Welfare Ranjana Baghel.
