Mishap claims 4 lives

Chhatarpur, Apr 18: Four people were killed and 22 others injured, four of them seriously, when two tractor trolleys boarded by a marriage party collided in Gourihar police station area of this district last night. The seriously injured were being treated at the district hospital.

Four IPS officers

Bhopal, Apr 16: New postings of four senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) were issued. IG RK Garg, was posted in the Administration Branch while IG (Narcotics) TK Ghosh was in Planning and IG Vijay Yadav would assume Ghosh's previous post. IG Sanjay V Mane was transferred to the Special Branch.

This victory has charged the BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to go for assembly elections without any hurdle. Party sources claimed that this verdict would allow Chief Minister to prepare grounds for assembly elections freehand. After party's defeat in Khargone Lok Sabha and Shivpuri, Sanwer and Lanjhi assembly by-elections, BJP candidates' victory in Rajya Sabha had provided some relief.
