Bhopal, Mar 18: Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation presented Rs 11.89 core dividend cheque to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Chief Minister's residence. The cheque was presented by corporation chairman Jaswant Singh Hada.

Bhopal, Mar 18: A mega campus placement drive was organized by the renowned software company ‘E-Soft Infotech’ at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Science & Technology, Sehore. Nearly 400 students participated in the campus. After due process of selection, finally 62 students were selected by the company.

Bhopal, Mar 18: Medical Education Minister Gauri Shanker Shejwar announced in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that the government would hold talks with the management of Ujjain's RD Gardi Medical College for reducing fees charged from students who took admission in 2005.

Bhopal, Mar 18: Majority of the farmers in Madhya Pradesh were affected by drought, pest attack, frost and cold wave and for the first time, drought had been included in natural calamity to provide compensation to farmers, the government informed the Assembly on Tuesday.

 

Horse trading alleged for RS election

Bhopal, Mar 18: Samajwadi Party MLA from Lanjhi constituency Kishore Samirite has accused Congress for having involved in horse trading. Showing Rs 10 lakh cash to media persons, he alleged that three persons including one Congress leader had approached him with cash.

 

MP succeeds in checking ghariyal deaths

Bhopal, Mar 18: World Conservation Union (IUCA) has praised the crisis management efforts undertaken in Madhya Pradesh to check deaths of ghariyal. The encomiums have been given in a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through which IUCA has also offered its cooperation in this connection. Meanwhile, death rate of alligators in Chambal has come down. So far in the month of March not a single alligator has died.

 

CM asks for priority to locals in jobs

Bhopal, Mar 18: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has urged Dewas-based industrialists to give priority to local people in employment in their units. He said that industrial development would hold true to its objectives when it benefits the masses. The Chief Minister was addressing representatives of Association of Industries, Dewas at the conference hall of Tata International Limited yesterday.

 

Camps to wave off farmers’ bills

Bhopal, Mar 18: Farmers in the state are in for a bonanza as power companies have chalked out a strategy to write off 100 percent surcharge and 50 percent energy charge of the power bills due against them for using water pumps. Accordingly, the power companies have instructed their field officers to organise special camps under Krishak Vidyut Rahat Yojana (Farmers' Power Relief Scheme).
