Two killed in mishap

Shajapur, Apr 19: Two people, including a woman, were today killed on the spot and 22 injured when a tractor-trolley carrying them overturned near Jaudi village on Agar-Sarangpur road. They, the residents of Chak Dehari village, were on their way to Mohan Badodiya Krishi Upaj Mandi to sell gram crop in a tractor-trolley when the accident occurred due to the driver's 'carelessness'.

Bhopal, Apr 19: Union Minister for Human Resources and Development Arjun Singh said that the tribal University being set up at Amarkantak would connect tribes with mainstream of the society. Laying the foundation stone of the country's first tribal university named, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, at Amarkantak in Shahdol district, Singh was addressing a gathering on Saturday.

 

Nath failed to initiate development work

Chhindwara, Apr 19: Accusing Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath of obstructing development, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said Commerce Minister Kamal Nath failed to initiate any development work in his own parliamentary constituency Chhindwara. “Kamal Nath came to be a hero at the Betul Lok Sabha by-poll but failed on account of his poor image vis-a-vis development,” he said, while addressing a meeting after laying the foundation stone for development work at this district's Parasia.

 

Forest awareness week from April 21

Bhopal, Apr 19: Forest Awareness Week is going to be organised in the state from April 21 to 26 with a view to giving fillip to the activities of Forest Committees constituted under Joint Forest Management. During the week, forest officers would convene meetings of Forest Committees where they would interact with villagers and prepare the strategy for better forest management after discussions with them.

 

Maya charged with insulting Ambedkar

Bhopal, Apr 19: Republication Party of India (RPI-Ambedkar) President has charged the Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo Mayawati of insulting Baba Sahab Ambedkar by installing her statue besides the former.
