Three killed in mishap

Chhindwara, Apr 20: Three people, including a 40-year-old woman, were killed on the spot and 22 injured, four of them critically, when a private bus overturned at Madai Tola turning near this district's Ubhegaon. Two of the deceased were identified as Gannoj Bapu Thakre (22) and Khan (70).

Rangoli in Dewas

Dewas, Apr 20: The mammoth manoeuvre of sprinkling flamboyant colours of rangoli on a 17 acres of a lake is in progress by a team of artists to mark the endeavour to get register Guinness Book of World Records. Presently, this record was held by Canada where 300 artists made Rangoli on seven acre area of land last year.

Congress fails to capitalize schemes

Bhopal, Apr 20: There is a growing feeling in the Congress that is failing to capitalise on UPA's OBC and tribal welfare schemes in election-bound Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Suresh Pachauri has summoned a meeting on April 22 to publicise the achievements of UPA government. Member of Parliament, MLAs former MPs/MLAs and other people’s representatives belonging to Scheduled Tribe would participate in the meeting.

CM for maximum procurement of wheat

Bhopal, Apr 20: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is necessary to procure maximum quantity of wheat on support price for ensuring success of Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana, under which wheat would be supplied at the rate of Rs three per kg to poor families from fair price shops.

Forest awareness week from April 21

Bhopal, Apr 20: Forest Awareness Week is going to be organised in the state from April 21 to 26 with a view to giving fillip to the activities of Forest Committees constituted under Joint Forest Management. During the week, forest officers would convene meetings of Forest Committees where they would interact with villagers and prepare the strategy for better forest management after discussions with them.
