Congress fails to capitalize schemes
Bhopal, Apr 20: There is a growing feeling in the Congress that
is failing to capitalise on UPA's OBC and tribal welfare schemes
in election-bound Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Congress chief
Suresh Pachauri has summoned a meeting on April 22 to publicise
the achievements of UPA government. Member of Parliament, MLAs
former MPs/MLAs and other people’s representatives belonging to
Scheduled Tribe would participate in the meeting.
CM for maximum procurement of wheat
Bhopal, Apr 20: Chief Minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is necessary to procure
maximum quantity of wheat on support price for ensuring success
of Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana, under which wheat would be
supplied at the rate of Rs three per kg to poor families from
fair price shops.
Forest awareness week from April 21
Bhopal, Apr 20: Forest Awareness Week is going to be organised
in the state from April 21 to 26 with a view to giving fillip to
the activities of Forest Committees constituted under Joint
Forest Management. During the week, forest officers would
convene meetings of Forest Committees where they would interact
with villagers and prepare the strategy for better forest
management after discussions with them.
Important meeting for PET Monday
Bhopal, Apr 20: Amid the uncertainty over the fate of Pre
Engineering Test (PET), the crucial meeting of Technical
Education Minister Nagendra Singh would take place at the office
of Admission and Fee Regulation Committee in the morning.
Cong should alter mindset on Muslims
Bhopal, Apr 20: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Vice-President
Gufran-e-Azam today felt that the Congress should alter its
mindset whereby it considered Muslims as 'slaves'. The comment
came during a media question here on the party candidate's
defeat in the Betul Lok Sabha by-election.
