Court registers FIR against Gopal Bhargava
Bhopal, Jan 21: A local court on Monday registered a criminal
case against eight persons including three Indian Administrative
Services (IAS) officials and Cooperative Minister in connection
with hatching a conspiracy to take control of cooperatives.
State Congress General Secretary and spokesman Brijmohan
Shrivastava, former MLA Shankar Pratap Singh and advocate
Narendra Saxena in a jointly orgnaised press conference said
that Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramesh Chaurasia,
going through the facts wound that prima facie adequate
evidences were available for to register an FIR against these
persons.
STF takes over Ashwani abduction case
Gwalior, Jan 21: As there is no clue to president of Nicholas
Piramil Company Ashwani Bhatt, who was abducted between Gwalior
and Indore three days ago, the Special Task Force (STF), meant
for dealing with orgnaised crimes has commenced investigation in
the case. The STF team has reached Indore and met the family
members of the victim. Earlier too, the STF team had
successfully solved a case of kidnapping of Cadbury’s manager
Keith Mendis.
Financial assistance to injured pilgrims
Bhopal, Jan 21: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has
instructed to give 50,000 each to next of kin of two pilgrims
who died when a bus of pilgrims from Khilchipur (Rajgarh) to
pilgrimage of Bhubaneswar caught fire. Chouhan has also
sanctioned Rs 10,000 each to those injured in the mishap. He
also made telephonic contact with his Orissa counterpart Naveen
Patnaik and Orissa Revenue Minister Manmohan and urged them to
ensure overall treatment of the injured.
Chouhan flays Centre for supplying red wheat
Bhopal, Jan 21: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan charged the
Centre for allotting decreased quota of food grains and
supplying below standard wheat to MP. He also flayed the Union
government for depriving the state of power and supplying
substandard coal also. CM informed that the demand for special
drought package would be forwarded to the union government.
Panel submits report on death of tiger
Bhopal, Jan 21: The four-member probe panel constituted to go
into the death of male tiger Gautam on December 6, 2007 at Van
Vihar National Park, Bhopal has submitted its report. Report
says that as per the blood test it was confirmed that tiger
Gautam died of babesia infection. With the view that this
infection does not spread among other animals, blood samples of
7 tigers, 13 lions and 3 leopards were tested and no traces of
babesia were found.
