Bhopal, Mar 23: On the occasion of death anniversary of noted Sarod Maestro Ustad Rehmat Ali Khan, Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan Sangeet Akademi is organising a two-day music festival at Bharat Bhavan from March 24.

 

Homoeopthy seminar

Bhopal, Mar 23: A national-level seminar is being organised on March 24, 2008 by Homoeopthy Repertoire Department of Government Homoeopathic College, Bhopal. Principal speakers of the seminar would be Dr DP Rastogi, New Delhi and Dr Mahadeve De, Kolkata. Dr DP Rastogi has undertaken special research on treatment of AIDS.

 

Conversion allegation

Ratlam, Mar 21: Acting on a complaint by Bajrang Dal, police raided a Christian training centre as part of investigations into alleged religious conversion activities there. Bajrang Dal workers complained about religious conversions allegedly carried out at the Discipleship Training School Programme (DTS).

 

 

Interactive session at Met Centre

Bhopal, Mar 23: To mark the World Metrological Day, Metrological Centre, Bhopal organized an interactive session here on Sunday. On the occasion, officials of the metrological department informed about the procedure of weather forecasting and answered the queries of people. The Metrological Centres at Arera Hills and Bairagarh both remained open through out the day for visitors.

 

BSP declared 62 candidates for assembly

Bhopal, Mar 23: While main political parties ruling Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) and Congress are busy in show of strength in Betul by-election, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has already reached in election mode in view of forth coming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.

 

Rahul Gandhi gives chance for interaction

Bhopal, Mar 23:  "It was only with the efforts of Rahul Gandhi that I could interact with senior party leaders at All India Congress Committee (AICC) office in New Delhi," said an NSUI activist from Bhopal. Early this month, he along with 28 other activists of National Students Union of India (NSUI) were called at AICC office to face interview during the exercise being done by AICC General Secretary and Youth Affairs in charge Rahul Gandhi.

 

Treatment of animals at Van Vihar

Bhopal, Mar 23: Special attention is being given to feeding, safety and treatment of wild animals at Van Vihar National Park. The carnivores kept in Van Vihar National Park including lions, tigers and leopards have crossed their average age. In view of this, constant watch on their health is being kept.

 

Respite to citizens with showers

Bhopal, Mar 23: With the sudden change in climatic condition residents of the state got respite from the soaring heat. Though the maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded 34 degree Celsius (one degree below normal), while the minimum temperature rose to 24.6 degree Celsius, which was 4 degree Celsius more than normal, due to sudden eruption of western disturbances developing a low pressure area, thunderstorms and mild rainfall was received here on Sunday.
