Complaint against Khandwa CEO registered
Bhopal, Jan 24: Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registered a
complaint against Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Khandwa
District Panchayat for allegedly benefiting contractors in works
related with construction of wells and preparation of licenses
for explosives. The Bureau has launched an inquiry after
registering the complaint against the IAS officer.
Project for property documents to villagers
Bhopal, Jan 24: The pilot project
for distribution of household property documents to the
villagers has been completed successfully after conducting an
extensive survey of rural population. The project work had been
undertaken in one village of each district in the state, which
has now been completed. The distribution of these documents to
the residents of these villages would begin soon.
Medicines must for medicines in hospitals
Bhopal, Jan 24: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has told
the officers ensure that medicines must be available at all the
medical colleges' hospitals, district hospitals and all other
hospitals and all the appliances and equipment including X-Ray
machines should be repaired so that poor patients and general
patients can get relief. Chouhan was reviewing the activities of
Health Department at the Mantralaya on Thursday.
Semester system in colleges in next session
Bhopal, Jan 24: The state government has issued directives to
the Registrars of all colleges to introduce semester system from
year 2008-09. The university level acts have been amended for
this purpose. The Registrars have been asked to issue directions
to all the affiliated colleges and take necessary action in this
regard.
Agriculture becoming business of profit
Bhopal, Jan 24: Efforts by the state government to make
agriculture as a business of profit are meeting with great
success. In the wake of intensified efforts in this connection,
irrigation from Indira Sagar canal has started from this year in
Khandwa district. District's Punasa block is on the verge of
becoming 'Punjab' in terms of agriculture. This year sowing is
being undertaken in four thousand hectares of land in Punasa
block alone.
