State Congress to launch ‘Call Centre soon
Bhopal, Mar 24: Madhya Pradesh Congress would soon launch a
‘Call Centre’ in the premises of State Congress office in view
of taking on to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Taking
a leaf from AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi's proposal to
make the Congress more techno-savvy, MPCC chief Suresh Pachauri
is planning to launch a call centre where trained and skilled
party men will respond to almost all issues ranging from
deletion in electoral roll to power-water shortage in local area
to the broader issue of history and ideology of 123-year old
party.
Gufran-e-Azam resigns as executive member
Bhopal, Mar 24: Senior Congress leader Gufran-e-Azam on Monday
resigned from the post of Executive member in Madhya Pradesh
Congress alleging that he was inducted in the state Congress
Committee as executive member without his consent. Annoyed with
his appointment in PCC as executive members, Gufran told media
persons at his residence that he was unable to tolerate this,
and decided to resign from the post. “I am the senior most
leader, from Madhya Pradesh and how can I be given such a small
post that too without my consent,” he added.
Vivek Tankha serves notice to Samrite
Bhopal, Mar 24: Advocate Shashank Shekhar on behalf of his
client Vivek Tankha, former Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh
and independent candidate of Rajya Sabha election, has served
legal notice to Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Kishore Samrite. In the
notice, it was stated that Samrite made outrageous and
defamatory allegations against Tankha. Besides, on March 14,
when Tankha went to file nomination papers, Samrite talked to
him and made complaints that Tankha always opposed him in
various litigations in the High Court.
Prdhi issue raised in NHRC meet
Bhopal, Mar 24: Pardhi issue was raised during the national
seminar of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) held on
Monday in Delhi. Chairman of MP Human Rights Commission (MPHRC)
raised the issue while laying suggestions for model
rehabilitation policy. The national seminar was organized to
prepare a policy for proper relief and rehabilitation of
displaced persons. Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil also
attended the seminar.
Samrite likely to move court
Bhopal, Mar 24: Samajwadi Party legislator Kishore Samrite, who
had recently charged Congress leaders for having bribed him for
voting in favour of independent candidate Vivek Tankha, claimed
he may move court against his suspension from the party on the
charge of ‘indiscipline’.
