BJP demonstrate demanding punishment to Afzal
Bhopal, Jan 25: The politics on
Afzal Guru, main accused in the parliament attack case has
heated up across the state. As announced earlier, Bharatiya
Janata Party Yuva Morcha failed to reach Congress party office
to stage protest due to the heavy police presence and resistance
from congress party workers. However, BJYM managed to paste one
poster of Afzal Guru on Congress office in morning.
Each Central department covered in RTI
Bhopal, Jan 25: Every department of
central government and state government being run from the state
would fall under the purview of Right to Information Act (RTI).
Person seeking information under the Act could file an appeal to
the State Information Commission (SIC) if the office concerned
fails to provide desired information and the first appellate
officer also fell short in catering to his need.
Check on bird flu through migratory birds
Bhopal, Jan 25: A dead bird found
in Van Vihar National Park following outbreak of bird flu in
West Bengal has brought the authorities on toes. More than 40
species of migratory birds that arrived at the place this winter
are now under scanner to prevent spread of deadly Avian
Influenza. The Forest Department has also alerted officials
concerned to keep close watch on migratory birds after receiving
directives in this regard from the Union Ministry of Environment
and Forest.
Atma project successful in 48 districts
Bhopal, Jan 25: 'Atma' project is
being successfully implemented in 48 districts of Madhya
Pradesh. During the year 20056-06 the Union government had
launched Atma project for extension of agriculture services. In
the beginning the project was implemented in 15 selected
districts in Madhya Pradesh. The Union government forms a
society in every district under its Atma project and then
provided 90 percent financial assistance through these societies
for extension and strengthening of agriculture services.
Dairy societies in profit for two years
Bhopal, Jan 25: During the last two
years dairy societies in Madhya Pradesh have attained the
condition of profit. The recurring profit of dairy federations
has increased by 464 percent. The recurring profit of dairy
societies was 134.10 lakh in the year 2004-05 which has now
risen to 756.52 lakh. Thus, for the first time, dairy
federations have attained the condition of profit.
