Cabinet clears 2765 posts in HC and HSCs
Bhopal, Jan 30: The cabinet gave clearance to create 2765 posts
in high school and higher secondary schools under zero budget.
Besides, several other important decisions were taken in the
cabinet meeting here on Wednesday. In 1999-2000 233 high schools
and 94 higher secondary schools were opened by District Planning
Committees under appropriation scheme.
‘Bachpan’ helps street children
Bhopal, Jan 30: A few months back the Bhopal railway station had
a large number of unfortunate children, shabby and unkempt but
now their number has considerably reduced thanks to the
well-meaning initiative of a voluntary institution “Bachpan” and
the sensitivity of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Effective strategy for technical education
Bhopal, Jan 30: Remarkable achievements have been made in the
field of technical education during the current financial year
in Madhya Pradesh. The state government has chalked out an
effective strategy for the next financial year in view of
students' increasing inclination towards technical education.
Under the strategy, at least one technical college would be
opened in every district. Besides, other necessary arrangements
would also be ensured.
Dictionary of scheduled tribes of MP
Bhopal, Jan 30: Madhya Pradesh Tribal Research and Development
Institute would compile a dictionary of scheduled tribes of
Madhya Pradesh. The dictionary, based on tribal culture would
have such words, which have their unique meanings in the context
of different tribal cultures. A workshop would be held in Bhopal
from February 18 to 25 for compiling the dictionary.
Social audit tools can help enhance accountability
Bhopal, Jan 30: The two-day workshop on 'tackling risks and
vulnerabilities- Role of social protection' concluded here with
a call for strengthening implementation of various social
protection measures of the state. In panel sessions held on
Wednesday, experience in targeting and access of social
protection schemes in reaching poor, extreme poor and excluded
groups from various States were shared by Jitendra Agrawal,
Project Coordinator Madhya Pradesh Rural livelihood programme,
Marc Socquet from International Labour organisation and Sushila
Zetilyn from DFID.
